Princess Noora Bint Abdur-Rahman University Scholorship - A scam?

I recieved an email about the so called Princess Noora Bint Abdur-Rahman University Scholorship (<---that spelling error is not mine! I've left it for the sake of people searching):

I emailed them, and they sent me a document almost immediately (automated response?) which has details include the payment of $1000 USD (if from America or Canada) before the application can be processed. I would urge people to stay away from these kind of emails, that are written in all caps (what can be worse?) and have spelling mistakes. Don't believe it unless it has an official email address and number. I have emailed them for their official emails and their official university position and phone numbers. I don't think I will get a response and neither do I need one - it looks like a pure scam scheme to me. As my lecturer says: 'If its too good to be true, it probably isn't'.

That is so true! We have to be extra careful when giving away personal details to anyone.

Lol. You'd think a scam artist posting a UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP would at least make sure to spell simple words like "air fare" and "Riyadh" correctly.
